What you need to know about Our Rides, protocols, safety, etc.

  • Arrival: Please arrive early and join the group for a start time picture.

  • Traffic Rules: Stop at all stop signs, yield to cars, ride two abreast maximum, and avoid crossing the yellow center line.

  • Group Safety: Make sure you know who is starting with the group and ensure everyone gets home safely.

  • Remote Gravel Locations: These rides take place in remote gravel areas, so please don't leave riders behind. Stay together.

  • Road Position: Always ride to the right of the road centerline. There are often hills where visibility is limited, so stay on the right side to avoid accidents.

  • Starting Early: It's encouraged to start riding earlier in the year, as distances and difficulty increase as the season progresses and riders become fitter.

  • Self-Sufficiency: Riders should be self-sufficient and come prepared with a helmet, lights, water, nutrition, tools, and spare tubes or tire repair equipment. While we will help, it's expected that you come ready to ride.

  • Lights Required: During spring and fall, it is mandatory to have front and rear lights on your bike.

  • Weather Updates: If a ride is canceled, a post will be made on the FRCC Facebook page usually 1-2 hours before the start time.

  • Ride Leader Instructions: Please listen to your ride leader's directions during the ride event.

  • Thank You: We appreciate your support and hope you have a safe and enjoyable ride with us.
